Customer Testimonial Letter – Water Leak and Mold

I want to provide a letter of recommendation for Randy Schmidt and his water and mold remediation services.

I had severe water and mold damage at a million dollar plus house purchased in Middleton. We were not living at the house at the time. A broken ice maker in the bar leaked water from the main floor into the basement for several months. There was mold in the carpet, walls and under the tiles throughout the main floor, bar and the basement.

I received 3 bids for the repair and reconstruction. Randy was by far the most knowledgeable and prepared to answer all questions and discuss next steps. He was not the least expensive but I wanted to make sure I worked with someone who could get the problem resolved most efficiently and not have to worry about future problems related to the mold.

Randy went beyond the call of duty to make sure all work was done as seamlessly as possible. To make a long story short, my wife and I were in crazy mode and we could not have been happier with Randy and his team, his communication, documentation for insurance purposes and their “I’m on it” attitude. Now for the kicker, he acted as the general contractor on all the liquor bar rebuild, tile replacement, carpeting, construction rebuild and buying and installing all new appliances including the bar fridge and ice maker.

I am absolutely convinced I made the right choice in hiring Randy. He provides top-notch knowledge and customer service that I believe could not have been matched by any other firm.

Water and Mold Damage in a Kitchen Floor

These clients had a leaking dishwasher and sink drain that had been leaking for years before they bought the home. Mold had been growing in the floor for years, unknown to them. The damage extended into the pantry, the bedroom master closet and the ceiling of the family room below.

We contained the affected areas and removed the hardwood flooring, sub-floor, cabinetry, affected drywall in the adjacent walls and ceiling below. After the proper mold mitigation and sanitizing was complete, we dried the remaining structural wood members that had been wet. We then proceeded to rebuild the kitchen by replacing the entire maple hardwood floor, cabinetry, counter tops, drywall, painting, etc. The client decided this was a the right time to make some improvements to the kitchen, so when we were done, the kitchen looked better than it had before the loss.

…….This is the Client’s thoughts after we completed the project….

Dear Randy,

I can’t thank you enough for the work you recently completed in my home. Upon realizing our dishwasher had been leaking and went unnoticed for a long time, I was horrified at how much damage this caused. The amount of mold that was under my hardwood floor and the overall scope of the unseen water damage was extremely overwhelming.

You were able to put my concerns at ease with your knowledge, professionalism, and expertise. From tearing out the floor, sub-floor, drywall, cabinetry, and basement ceiling, to the mold mitigation and the need to rebuild everything, you and Brandon were AWESOME!

I truly appreciate your assistance with my insurance company as well. Having a contractor with your credentials made the claim process much easier. I can’t tell you how much stress was relieved knowing you were there to help me through this entire process.

I relied heavily on your recommendations and to say my expectations were met is an understatement. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

I would recommend you to anyone that needs your service, you are a life saver!

Sincerely,  Kevin McSwain, Waterford, WI
